What is it?

This clinic has been set up : 

·       to support second year BSc Sports and Exercise Therapy students who are training to become Graduate Sports Therapists

·       to offer sports massage services to Birmingham Newman University staff and students, to local athletes and sports teams and to the local community.  

Note:  We are only able to treat adults (those aged 18 years and over).  

The services will be provided by Birmingham Newman students, supervised by qualified lecturing staff.

Please note that this service offers a learning experience for the students.  We kindly ask for your patience during your appointments as the students will need to check in with the clinical supervisor at various times throughout your appointment to ensure your health, care, and safety.

What the clinic is not

This clinic is not to assess or diagnose injuries, so if you do have an injury, we recommend you see your health care professional. Staff at the clinic will not diagnose or treat injuries.

When is the Sports Massage Clinic open?

Semester 1: Mondays 16:00 -18:00

Semester 2: Thursdays 11:00 – 13:00

Booking and Scheduling

·       Once payment is confirmed, patients will be emailed with appointment options from the ST-Clinic@newman.ac.uk email. 

Cancelation and Late Policy

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance otherwise the session will be charged in full.
• We allow a 10-minute late arrival policy. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will not be able to accommodate you, and you will be charged in full.
